Beat Allergy Season This Year: 7 Allergy-Fighting Remedies

Most people I know this time of year are:

Sneezing
Running around with Kleenex boxes
Getting headaches
And feeling pretty terrible.

 

Hello, Spring, and hello, allergy season!

 
But why is it that we get allergies?

 

And – maybe more importantly – why are more people suddenly getting allergies? Looking back 40 years ago, just 10% of our population got seasonal allergies. Today, that number has more than tripled. At about the same time, food allergies have also come about with over 1 billion people in the U.S. alone reporting a food allergy, sensitivity, or intolerance.

 

Woah.

 

It’s not a coincidence, and there are some pretty clear reasons why this is all happening.
The good news is there are many easy ways to completely avoid the symptoms of allergy season and I want you to know about them!

 

Two weeks ago, I was invited to speak to a local organization about allergies (both food and seasonal – they’re really interrelated, and it’s fascinating). The talk went on for 30 minutes longer than planned because everyone had so many questions, so I wanted to share with you what I talked about!

 

In the below deck, I walk through what’s really going on and what we can do to begin to bring things back into balance so we don’t have to suffer seasonal allergies or fall victim to food allergies anymore.
